TIME TO TALK : The ultimate guide to the perfect glow up

EPISODE 1 : PROUD

Affirmations : Proud of my body, proud of my skin, proud of me. You're smart, confident and outspoken and you're beautiful, inside and out.

____

Hi, my beautiful you(s). Reality check on that body, ody, ody, ody. Read this if you hate your body.

Introductions...

This is my first series of Time to Talk and it's aimed at giving you the glow up you deserve (mentally and physically). I'd upload each week within four weeks, so there'll be four episodes in part 1 of time to talk. Make sure you subscribe and share. Now onto today's topic.

To me, the greatest, most unnecessary, time wasting punishment is hating yourself. What a chore! It doesn't do anything, it doesn't change anything. We aren't ugly, society is. We have so many societal perceptions of beauty that have determined the way we look at ourselves. And what's funny is, these false beauty standards always change.

The way you talk to yourself matters...

Your inner voice and what you tell yourself contributes tremendously to how you would react to several things in your day to day life.

If you're going out and you check yourself in the mirror and say something like, "I look fat in this outfit", do not be surprised how your day goes. You'll feel self conscious and think everyone else is looking at you (True or false?) People will look at you the way you look at yourself.

When you say something positive to yourself, you motivate yourself, you keep pushing. Whether it's a wake up call to get dressed or check something of your bucket list, you'll find yourself achieving goals because your inner voice says so.

Just like my last post increasing your self esteem and confidence should be #1 on your New Years Resolution. Your inner voice helps to build this, because your words will make you feel good about yourself. Positive self talk enables you to be in control of your life and goals.

We all struggle, it's not so easy to be accepting of yourself because the negative voice always sounds louder.

Have a mantra (like the affirmations above) when you start to hear those negative voices, say them over and over again.

With time, loving yourself and being proud of your body will no longer be a chore or a thing I forced you to do, it'll come naturally.

Make sure you share.

Love,

Ugo.
